Table Tennis – Relocation

Due to the closure of the Redbourn Club, the Table Tennis section has now been relocated to the Squash Club and will be using Court 1 for the foreseeable future.The Table Tennis tables will remain in place. If Court 1 is required for Squash matches, the Table Tennis tables can be removed to allow the court to be used for Squash. We hope this arrangement will work well for both sections and thank everyone for their cooperation.

Court 3 is OPEN!

We're excited to announce that Court 3 is now open and ready for use! We sincerely apologise for the extended closure, which was necessary due to more extensive works than those on Court 4. The Committee is thrilled with the improvements made, particularly the insulation works, which we believe will greatly benefit the club.

All planning, preparation, and insulation works were carried out by our dedicated Committee volunteers, ensuring there was no cost to the Club. We appreciate their hard work and commitment!

If you're interested in volunteering for any roles at the Club or would like to join the Committee to have your voice heard, please reach out to any Committee member. We are here for everyone, and your involvement makes a difference!

Accident Reporting and Racket Grip Safety

All members must check the condition of their racket grips before going on court.A recent incident occurred where a player lost control of their racket due to a worn grip, resulting in another player being struck in the face and injured. This highlights the serious safety risks of using equipment that is not properly maintained.

Additionally, worn grips can shed fibres, which may become embedded in the court floor. This can lead to further hazards, including potential damage to the surface and injuries from slipping.

Report any injuries immediately in the Injury Book, located in the Club Bar area.

The Appleby Frodingham Squash Club online court booking system has been developed by Halleynet Web Media. The system is also hosted on the Halleynet Web Media hosting platform. If you are interested in a similar system for your squash, tennis or sports club please contact Halleynet Web Media.

Members of Appleby Frodingham Squash Club are invited to enter the system and book courts within the guidelines laid down by the club rules, and which may be modified from time to time. By passing this point and logging onto this system you accept these terms and conditions, and will endeavour to keep login details private, and will not lend or tell any member or non member your login details. The club will not at any time ask you your login details, as a user of the system you are wholly responsible for the security of your profile.

When using the club kiosk to manage your bookings you further accept not to attempt to compromise the hardware of software of the system, or to access any resources other than those for which the system is provided.

If you feel your details have been in anyway compromised, in the first instance contact a club committee member and request your profile be suspended.
